Department of Forensic Medicine
The department of Forensic medicine at Ananta institute of Medical Sciences & Research centre, is having highly experienced, qualified teaching faculty and equipped with most modern equipments to conduct practical and research work in medico-legal problems & guides the undergraduate students.
The department museum gallery has wonderful collection of Forensic photographs (of various crimes, which are occurring in the society).It has whole range charts, models lethal weapons, poisons & wet specimens of medico legal importance.
The highly modernized mortuary block is housed in a separate structure to conduct medico-legal post-mortems & can be witnessed by students from a gallery in the autopsy room. The mortuary block is also having cold storage & embalming facility for better preservation of dead bodies and viscera.
Since it is a legal Medicine, students are frequently taken to the district court, to witness legal proceedings related to Medico legal cases.
