Department of Anatomy
Anatomy is a science which deals with structure of the body, from macroscopic to the microscopic level.
The essential approach to acquire this understanding of structural organization of human body is through dissection of cadavers (preserved dead bodies ). As such the grooming doctors have a fair idea about location of various organs & structures that are affected in a diseased person requiring examination & necessary intervention.
Besides in embryology, the developmental aspects of human body are taught.
The department of Anatomy at AIMS & RC is a state of art centre of excellence with well furnished & equipped dissection hall, museum, lab, lecture theatres etc.
There are sufficient cadavers, slides, bones, charts & models to meet the requirements.
Lastly each faculty gives adequate attention to every student in routine teaching & learning activities via small group teaching, table teaching & demonstrations.
